Want your newborn baby snuggled, safe and sleeping? Give them the perfect transition from the womb into the world with the Spaghetti Wrap. Imagine a swaddle for your newborn that not only helps your baby sleep longer but also makes life easier for you? The Spaghetti Wraps’ unique design does exactly that. With the baby’s hips/legs unwrapped, parents have unrestricted access to the nappy for night time nappy changes …when you definitely don’t want to wake them! With legs unrestricted, sleeping babies can be safely harnessed in a pram and easily moved to the cot.

Babies with reflux are able to freely kick their legs, helping them with wind expulsion. This design feature also makes this the safe choice for babies with hip dysplasia. Made from luxurious bamboo it prevents overheating in warmer climates, minimising skin irritation and excessive sweating. When the temperature drops, simply team with a sleeping bag or a quilt.

With so much versatility in one design, this is the must have product for every new parent seeking sound sleep from their little one. Perfect for all climates, and so easy to use, this simple and practical swaddle will ensure your baby sleeps longer.

And for those babies already being treated for hip dysplasia, our swaddle is the perfect solution as it can be worn with a harness or other support aide, such as the Pavlik Harness, Denis Browne Bar and spica cast.

Babies legs should not be wrapped tightly or straight down together as it increases the risk of hip dysplasia and dislocation. The Spaghetti Wrap is an ideal hip-healthy swaddle that allows the legs to bend up and out at the hips maintaining a natural position. As our swaddle has been specifically designed not to wrap the hips and legs, it is the optimal preventative product.

All the benefits of the Spaghetti Wrap, with additional peace of mind that developmental dysplasia of the hip will be prevented due to the freedom of hip and leg movement that this luxury swaddle allows.

Whilst it is distressing news to hear that anything is ‘wrong’ with your baby, the good news here is that early detection is key and with the appropriate treatment hip dysplasia will not have any long lasting impact on your child.

That said, as a parent, you want to do all you can to provide your baby with comfort especially helping ensure that they sleep soundly and rest well. A baby with hip dysplasia should still be able to receive the benefits of safe swaddling - to be wrapped in a cocoon of softness to alleviate the startle reflex to help them sleep for longer.

Groove Child considered all of these factors, and more, to ensure that the Spaghetti Wrap could also be used by those receiving treatment for the condition. The design and simplicity of the Spaghetti Wrap means it can be used by babies with hip dysplasia, and is compatible with a range of treatment harnesses and casts including the Dennis Browne Bar, the Pavlik Harness in addition to the Spica cast.

Spaghetti Wrap by Groove Child

This is a one size fits all sleeping solution, ideally suited to babies from newborn to 3 months.   From birth, you can benefit from arms by side swaddling which not only enhances comfort for babies whilst sleeping, but this technique also minimizes the startle reflex to enhance longer sleeping time.  As the baby gets older, you can transition to one arm wrapping with no need to purchase additional products.

One size fits all.

Yes, you can still use the Spaghetti Wrap.  However, it is important you position the Spaghetti Wrap correctly for maximum effect.  This is also the same for anyone who chooses to continue using the Spaghetti Wrap beyond the recommended 3 months.  As your baby grows, you will need to put the wrap lower down the torso/body leaving some of the upper arm uncovered and ensuring the baby’s hands are covered beneath the wrap.  The reason for this is swaddling is designed to control the startle reflex which aids in stopping the baby’s hands/arms from ‘jerking’ up.  Another important reason for correct positioning is as your baby becomes older and stronger he or she will wriggle more upon waking and try to get their arms free.   When their hands are covered inside the wrap the baby will wriggle their hands up towards the top of the wrap rather than trying to pull the wrap up toward or onto their neck/face area.

Wraps have been custom made to the highest specifications using soft to touch bamboo fabric, infused with spandex to keep your baby snug whilst also stretching to accommodate a baby’s natural movement.  This material wicks moisture away from a baby’s precious skin to help keep a baby cool in summer months.

The swaddle was designed for arms by side wrapping to minimise the startle reflex, and in turn prevent a baby from wriggling free and waking up.   Wrapping is quick, easy and best of all requires no tricky fasteners, Velcro or zips.  Just follow these instructions to wrap your baby and set them on their way to a sound sleep.

Groove Child I think you have saved my sanity!!

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jul 2015

Groove Child I think you have saved my sanity!! I’ve been using the Spaghetti wrap on my 10 (now 11) month old daughter every day since we received it. We had just been having appointments with the family care cottage, one step before Tresillian as my daughter had stopped sleeping through the night and would only sleep for 2x 1/2 hour during the day. Since using the spaghetti wrap she now sleeps for 2 hrs (sometimes longer) twice a day and only stirs once a night but doesn’t wake!!!! I loved the soft stretchy fabric which meant i could wrap her with the right degree of restriction. It also washes up excellently and dries quickly. I loved that the box included 2 wraps so that when one was in the wash I could still put her down to sleep and know that she will sleep well. We too use it underneath the wrap-me-up snuggle wrap for extra warmth. She has always been a houdini, she manages to get out of this wrap occasionally but generally gives up and goes to Sleep first! The only down side I see would be wrapping an already asleep baby as it requires much movement to wrap properly. Thank you for the opportunity to trail this product I am one happy mumma!! (I also love the extra surprize the dummy door hanger, it has kept the dummies in place so I know where they are when I do have to get up during the night!) The packaging was super cute, I loved the natural paper & string look with a tiny peg holding onto the company details. Would make a perfect present for a new mum specifically if the gender was unknown

One of the first things I packed in my hospital bag.

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jul 2015

I was very lucky to be chosen for this trial as just had my 3rd baby last month the Spaghetti Wrap was one of the first things I packed in my hospital bag! Wrapping a newborn is usually pretty tricky but the length of the Spaghetti Wrap allowed for excellent coverage and for me to wrap my bub nice and tight with no chance of her coming free. I really liked the soft bamboo fabric (which has washed especially well after 5 weeks of use) and as I was able to wrap bub multiple times over the fabric also kept her warm but not too hot. What I liked the most was the ability to change bub while still wrapped up amazingly bub slept thru a number of nappy changes as her upper body stayed firm and wrapped up leaving her lower body free. This design will be especially good in summer where Id prefer to have her legs free on the hot nights. If you had a bub on the small side you might not use this wrap until they are at least a month old as there is lots of fabric to wrap around but this was perfect for my chubby bubby and shell be in the Spaghetti Wrap all summer. Thanks for a great and timely trial. NB I was asked by a number of mums in the hospital about the wrap so have hopefully spread the word.

Transferred him from cot to pram without waking

Posted by Unknown on 10th Jul 2015

I was one of the lucky mums to trial the Spaghetti Wrap for my 4 month old baby boy. I have wrapped all four of my babies just around the arms however using a traditional sized wrap means a lot of excess fabric. First of all the packaging is simply gorgeous and straight away I felt like I was getting something of great quality. The fabric is lightweight (perfect for summer babies) and super stretchy. I found the Spaghetti Wrap really simple to use and my baby actually had a little giggle when I was putting it on. I love how the ends are tapered so you can tuck it in at the back no more wrap coming loose when I pick him up! The other amazing thing is I transferred him from the cot to pram without him waking up. He has been sleeping great since using this wrap.I would definitely recommend this product!

What a terrific product! I was very impressed that my little one settled so easily in the snug spaghetti wrap! There are no uncomfortable straps or noisy Velcro – yet he can’t unravel himself & stays cosy and settled, positives for everyone! It’s EXACTLY what every parent needs!
